A new private island in Maldives is offering a three-bedroom beach villa, two-bedroom overwater villa, four-bedroom residence, five swimming pools and a private entertainment clubhouse for Rs 58 lakh per night.

 

Ever since travel restrictions implemented to tackle the outbreak of novel coronavirus were lifted, Maldives has become the favourite destination for travellers. And why not, the island country holds several options including, the luxuries of a private island.

Though most of the resorts on the island are relatively private, its newest luxury island is grabbing the attention of travellers. It is the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi resort's Ithaafushi - The Private Island that opened this week.

USD 80,000 FOR A PRIVATE ISLAND

The Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi's Private Island includes a three-bedroom beach villa, two-bedroom overwater villa, four-bedroom residence, five swimming pools and a private entertainment clubhouse. The island also has its own dedicated culinary team, watersports, diving, yacht trips, meditation, yoga centres, kids' pool, gaming area and fully-equipped gym.

The island has almost 10 dining venues like the Middle Eastern cuisine at Yasmeen, private dining pods at Terra, Australian barbecue-style cuisine at The Ledge by Dave Pynt, open-theatre kitchen counters at Tasting Table, modern Japanese cuisine at Shimizu and contemporary Chinese at Li Long.

The island can accommodate 24 guests, and can be accessed from Male. Guests can access the island via a 40-minute ride on one of the resort's six yachts or a 15-minute flight. The 32,000 square meter island sanctuary is the largest private island in the Maldives. And if you are willing, it can be yours for Rs 58,49,600 (USD 80,000) approximately per night.

The Maldives reopened to international tourism on July 15.
