2022 was a great year for Blackpink and it seems like 2023 might be an even better one! It's barely been a week into the new year and the Pinks have already reached new heights, be it DDU-DU DDU-DU becoming the first K-pop group music video to surpass 2 billion views on YouTube or Jisoo's solo album news. As if that wasn't enough, rumour has it that the girl group might be headlining Coachella 2023.

Blackpink to headline Coachella 2023?

According to media reports, Blackpink is rumored to headline Coachella 2023. If confirmed, it will make the girl group the first K-Pop group to achieve this milestone. However, this won't mark their first Coachella appearance!
Wowing the music festival's crowd with their mesmerizing performance in 2019, Blackpink made history as the first K-pop group to stand on the stage of the world's largest music festival. Performing their hit songs like Kill This Love and Boombayah, the Pinks became a hot topic for their songs as well as their fashion.
However, neither Blackpink nor Coachella's team has confirmed the rumours as of yet.
Currently busy with the Born Pink World Tour, the K-pop girl group have successfully completed the Seoul, American and Europe leg of the tour. Kicking off the Asia leg in Bangkok today, Blackpink will tour across South East Asia, before heading to Japan and then Australia.

Additionally, Blackpink's label YG Entertainment recently announced that the group's eldest Jisoo would be releasing her solo album this year, making her the last member to do so. "Jisoo is currently accelerating the recording of her solo album. While she has been busy with the world tour since last year, she has been working on music in her spare time after finishing jacket photo shoots to keep her promise with fans. She will come back with good news, " the statement read. While Jennie debuted as a solo artist in 2018, member Rosé and Lisa did so in 2021.
