Pushpa star Allu Arjun was released from jail on Saturday morning, after spending a night there. The actor was arrested in connection to a woman’s death and her son being grievously injured at the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule. Since the time he has returned home from a jail in Hyderabad, Arjun has been spending time with his family and friends. In a statement, the actor has responded to the backlash about not visiting the victim at the hospital, who continues to be in a critical condition.
Taking to his Instagram account, Arjun posted a brief note, which read, “I remain deeply concerned about young Sri Tej, who is under constant medical care after the unfortunate incident. Due to the ongoing legal proceedings, I have been advised not to visit him and his family at this time.”
The statement further added, “My prayers remain with them and I remain committed to taking responsibility for addressing the medical and family needs. I wish him a speedy recovery, and I look forward to meeting him and his family at the earliest.”
