On April 19, the "2021 Dutch Facility Horticultural Technology Matchmaking Conference" co-sponsored by Hubei Provincial Foreign Science and Technology Exchange Center and the Wuhan Representative Office of the Netherlands Trade Promotion Committee was successfully held. Wu Jun, Deputy Director of Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department, and Dutch Embassy in China  Agricultural Counselor Wouter Verhey and Provincial Forestry Bureau second-level inspector Lan Taigang attended the event and delivered speeches.

In his speech, Wu Jun said that Hubei and the Netherlands have always maintained a close cooperative relationship with frequent personnel exchanges and remarkable results. Since the beginning of this year, Hubei has fully deployed scientific and technological innovation and development, initiated the construction of Hubei Donghu Science City, planned the construction of the Optics Valley Science and Technology Innovation Corridor, and established high-level Hubei laboratories including biological breeding, Shennong facilities and other national key scientific and technological infrastructures. 

 

The non-innovation cooperation center is located in Hubei, and the scientific and technological innovation resources, elements, and strength are efficiently integrated. The Provincial Science and Technology Department is willing to work with the Netherlands to expand cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, deepen project technology docking, and jointly promote the development of scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. 

 

Wouter Verhey pointed out that the Dutch horticulture industry enjoys a high reputation in the world. Now more and more Dutch companies are investing in agriculture in China. Hubei also attaches great importance to facility horticulture production, which has great potential for high-tech agricultural production. He hopes that both parties can  There are more in-depth cooperation and exchanges in the agricultural field.
