The incident took place on Tuesday in the city of Graz at the BORG Dreierschützengasse school.

A school shooting in Austria has killed several people, according to the country's Interior Ministry. While an official number of awaited, local reports have stated that at least five to eight people have been killed.The incident took place on Tuesday in the city of Graz at the BORG Dreierschützengasse school.

Austrian state media ORF has reported that several students and teachers have been injured in the incident. Local reports further added that among the eight killed, one was the suspected shooter.

As per ORF, the suspected shooter is believed to be a student at the school and is reported to have died by suicide after shooting himself in the school toilet. 

Police officials are yet to confirmed the number of fatalities. However, police spokesman Fritz Grundnig told ORF that the perpetrator likely killed himself.
