Indian premium pet-care brand Heads Up For Tails (HUFT) has strengthened its international footprint with the launch of a new store at Orchard in Singapore, marking another milestone in its global expansion journey.

Founded in 2008 by entrepreneur Rashi Sanon Narang, HUFT has grown from a small home-grown venture into one of India’s most recognisable pet-care retail brands, combining design-led products, grooming services and community-driven pet culture. The Orchard store adds to the brand’s growing presence in Singapore and reflects its ambition to build a global lifestyle brand for pet parents.

Strengthening its Singapore Presence

The Orchard outlet builds on HUFT’s earlier entry into Singapore, a market known for its affluent pet-owning community and premium retail ecosystem. The company’s Singapore platform offers a curated range of pet essentials, including toys, food, accessories and grooming products, supported by expert guidance for pet parents.

HUFT already operates multiple stores in the city and plans further expansion, positioning the market as its key international hub in Southeast Asia.

The Orchard opening was celebrated by the team as a milestone moment, reflecting the brand’s growing international recognition and the rising demand for premium pet-care retail formats.

Building a Premium Pet-Care Ecosystem

HUFT operates on an omnichannel model combining e-commerce, exclusive retail stores and pet spas. The brand offers over 13,000 products across more than 250 brands, alongside its own design-led private labels.

In India, the company has built a strong physical retail presence with 100+ pet stores and over 80 pet spas across more than 20 cities, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai.

Its stores are designed as experiential spaces where pet parents can shop with their pets, attend grooming sessions and access advice from trained pet-care specialists.

Financial Growth and Investment Momentum

HUFT has witnessed rapid growth in recent years, supported by rising pet adoption and increasing consumer spending on premium pet products.

  • FY23 revenue: ₹312.8 crore, up from ₹215.6 crore in FY22 — a 45% year-on-year growth.
  • The company has since scaled further, reaching an annual revenue run rate of around 400 crore.

While the brand has invested heavily in marketing, logistics and retail expansion—leading to higher operating costs—it continues to prioritise scale and international expansion as the pet-care category accelerates in India and globally.

To support its next phase of growth, HUFT has been in the process of raising around $25 million in Series B funding, with participation from Apparel Group India and other investors.

Riding India’s Pet-Care Boom

HUFT’s expansion reflects the rapid growth of India’s pet-care industry, which is seeing increasing demand for premium nutrition, grooming and lifestyle products.

With more than 32 million pets in India and a fast-growing pet-parent community, the category is evolving from a niche segment into a structured retail opportunity.

The company has positioned itself at the premium end of the market by focusing on design-led products, pet wellness and experiential retail.

The Road Ahead

Looking ahead, HUFT is expected to deepen its omnichannel ecosystem while expanding internationally. After India and Singapore, the brand is also exploring new overseas markets such as Dubai, signalling its ambition to become a global pet-care lifestyle brand.

With a rapidly expanding store network, growing revenues and rising investor interest, the Orchard launch underscores HUFT’s transition from a domestic pet-care retailer to an emerging global brand serving modern pet families.
