Designed as an engaging and interactive space, the new store invites consumers to discover The Body Shop’s portfolio across skincare, bodycare, haircare, and fragrances

Hyderabad: British-born ethical beauty brand The Body Shop has expanded its presence in Telangana with the launch of a new Workshop Store at Lakeshore Mall, Hyderabad, offering an immersive retail experience that blends conscious beauty with local cultural elements.

The store showcases the brand’s portfolio across skincare, bodycare, haircare and fragrances, allowing customers to explore products through interactive displays and hands-on experiences aligned with its ethical beauty philosophy.

The launch also highlights the return of the brand’s iconic Dewberry range, known for its fruity fragrance and nostalgic appeal. The collection has long been associated with the brand’s cruelty-free and responsibly made products.

A key feature of the store is a hand-painted mural inspired by Hyderabad’s Cheriyal folk art, a traditional storytelling art form from Telangana. The artwork depicts a Cheriyal woman holding a mirror, symbolising self-reflection and self-worth, alongside a tree bearing The Body Shop’s products as fruits, representing nature as the source of care and responsible beauty.

Speaking on the launch, Vishal Chaturvedi, Chief Revenue Officer, The Body Shop, said, “Hyderabad is an important market for us, and the opening of our new Workshop Store reflects our commitment to creating brand experiences that are locally rooted and culturally meaningful. The Cheriyal-inspired mural is a deliberate expression of our intent to connect with our customers through familiar art forms and stories, while the return of the iconic Dewberry range brings a sense of nostalgia and joy. Together, the store brings ethical beauty, cultural storytelling, and immersive retail to life in a way that truly resonates with our community.”

Founded in 1976 in Brighton, England, by Anita Roddick, The Body Shop offers naturally inspired skincare, bodycare, haircare and makeup products produced with a focus on ethical sourcing and sustainability.

In India, The Body Shop operates through its partner Quest Retail, an omni-channel beauty retailer that has been introducing global beauty brands to the Indian market since 2006.
