Joining the light-hearted trend online, Kerala Tourism wrote, "After a thorough check across our backwaters, hill stations and beaches, we can confirm - none of it has reached Kerala."

KitKat has been drawing immense attention due to a recent theft. Created by Rowntree's of York, England, and produced globally by Nestle (except in the United States), the brand faced the heist of 12 tons (over 413,000 bars) of KitKat chocolate, according to a statement from Nestle.

This sparked widespread discussion on social media. From X users sharing memes to other food brands sharing KitKat-inspired food pictures, social media is full of all the funny content around KitKat.

Joining the trend, the official X handle of Kerala Tourism responded with humour, saying the stolen KitKats had not reached the state and encouraging tourists to “take a break” and visit Kerala.

“We've been informed about the missing shipment of KitKats. After a thorough check across our backwaters, hill stations and beaches, we can confirm - none of it has reached Kerala. Looking for a proper break? We've got you covered. #Kerala Tourism,” read the note.

This is not the only travel-centric brand to share a witty post showing support for Nestlé with a witty twist.

Ryanair, Europe's largest budget airline group known for its low-cost, point-to-point service across 36 countries, also joined in. The airline shared an AI-generated image of one of its planes with a playful twist – the nose of the aircraft had a face with eyes and a mouth, and the mouth was packed with KitKat sticks.Joining the trend, Tampa International Airport also shared a playful post. “Our hearts go out to our friends at KitKat during this difficult time in their company's history,” they wrote. The note added a cheeky twist: “In unrelated news, Phoebe will be giving out little pieces of chocolate ahead of Easter for anyone who wants to have a break.” FYI: Phoebe is a 21-foot-tall, bright pink flamingo sculpture located in the Main Terminal (Level 3) of Tampa International Airport.

Washington Dulles International Airport also shared its fun take on the viral KitKat heist. The airport shared a post on X featuring its LEGO airport model, joking that it had been made using 12 tons of KitKat bars. Showing mock concern, they wrote, “We are thinking of the entire KitKat team. Please give them a break during this difficult time.”

They added a humorous twist to the post, saying, “In unrelated news, we will be swapping out our LEGO Airport for a candy airport.”All in all, what started as a strange chocolate heist quickly turned into a fun and light-hearted moment online.
