According to reports, the EAGLE team raided the pub based on information that an event by the name "Black Coffee" was being organised, and the DJ was called from Nigeria.

Hyderabad: At least eight people tested positive for drugs during a raid by the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) on a pub in Hyderabad’s Kondapur on Thursday, April 2.

According to reports, the EAGLE team raided the pub based on information that an event by the name “Black Coffee” was being organised, and the DJ was called from Nigeria. During the raid, the pub’s premises was scanned, after which drug tests were conducted on 64 people.

Blood samples were collected from those who tested positive and the suppliers are yet to be traced.

Previous incident

In October 2025, the EAGLE arrested three individuals from a pub in Jubilee Hills after they tested positive for drugs.

The accused, identified as Ch Dinesh Kumar, 46, Bahadur Rohith Singh, 31, and Banda Revanth Reddy, 25, were nabbed during a raid conducted at The Moonshine Project.

According to EAGLE, Dinesh Kumar tested positive for opioids and meth, while Rohith and Revanth tested positive for THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) (found in cannabis). They have been handed over to the Film Nagar police.
