Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, India's leading foodservice company, has expanded Popeyes’ presence in Tamil Nadu with three restaurants in Coimbatore.
The restaurants are located at Brookefields Mall, Prozone Mall and Civil Aerodrome Post, covering key shopping, commercial and residential areas across the city. The expansion strengthens Popeyes’ footprint in Tamil Nadu and marks its entry into Coimbatore.
Coimbatore, known for its growing IT, manufacturing and entrepreneurial ecosystem, has emerged as a growing foodservice market with demand for international quick-service restaurant brands. Popeyes’ expansion comes as consumer preferences in the city continue to evolve.
Rooted in Louisiana, Popeyes is known for its fried chicken, which is marinated for 12 hours in a blend of Cajun spices before being hand-breaded and cooked. The brand’s portfolio also includes its signature Chicken Sandwich. Following its expansion across Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Punjab, Popeyes is now adding Coimbatore to its India footprint.
Vibhor Gupta, EVP and Chief Business Officer, Popeyes, Jubilant FoodWorks Limited, said, "We have been receiving tremendous customer love and queries from Coimbatore, asking us to launch in the city, and we are excited to mark our entry with three restaurants, with many more to come. At Popeyes, every new restaurant represents more than just expansion, it is an opportunity to introduce more consumers to our authentic Louisiana flavours and hospitality. We see Coimbatore as a high-potential market with a growing appetite for bold, flavour-first dining experiences, and our entry into the city marks another strategic step in expanding Popeyes’ presence across India's key consumption centres. We look forward to becoming a part of Coimbatore's vibrant dining culture and serving our world-famous chicken to the city's growing community of food lovers."
The expansion adds to Popeyes’ presence in Tamil Nadu and forms part of Jubilant FoodWorks Limited’s broader strategy to expand the brand across key Indian markets.
