Fashion and lifestyle e-commerce platform Myntra has announced more than 26,000 seasonal employment opportunities ahead of its Big Fashion Festival, more than double the seasonal workforce created last year. Of these, 350+ roles are designated for differently abled individuals, while women will account for 30% of the fulfilment centre workforce.
The seasonal hiring will support Myntra’s fulfilment, last-mile delivery and customer service operations during the festive period. The workforce will be deployed across five fulfilment centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bilaspur and Binola.
The seasonal workforce will include employees from Odisha, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and other parts of India. Roles at the fulfilment centres will cover sorting, grading and packing, while the seasonal workforce will also include 8,000 delivery partners and 2,700 customer service roles.
Myntra has also introduced performance recognition and employee engagement initiatives across its fulfilment centres for the festive period. These include daily performance-based SPOT Rewards and Recognition, team challenges and other engagement activities.
At the Binola fulfilment centre, Myntra is conducting ‘She Warrior’, a pitch competition focused on ideas from women employees. The initiative will recognise selected ideas and winners.
The additional workforce is also expected to support Myntra’s delivery capacity during the Big Fashion Festival. This includes M-Express, Myntra’s delivery service that enables deliveries within 24 to 48 hours in eligible locations.
